i'm a long time fan of Oakley and finally picked up a pair of Oakley goggles. i got a pair of Oakley Wisdoms and they came with a pair of persimmon lenses. they're great in low light but i need something a little better on sunny days. I am looking for something that performs good on overcast days but also performs well during sunny days so i dont have to keep changing lenses (its a pain in the but with wisdoms). Does any one have any recomendations?

  1. Is oakley the only kind of goggles you are open to? If not, then you should check out Dragon and Electric goggles, most of the lenses are like what you're talking about

  2. I would suggest just getting another pair.  Switching lenses is a pain in the ***. I have a pair of oakley A frames with fire iridium lenses that i use most of the time. Sometimes even in overcast days and i can still see fine. For the extremely overcast and dark days, i use a pair of oakley wisdoms with the High intensity yellow lenses. I think both of them work fine in all conditions though.

I think your bet is to buy another pair of fire iridiums. Or perhaps one of the blue or emerald iridium lenses.

  3. You could try the Oakley Stockholms, they have lots of options, and if you go to the website, they have simulations of the different lenses. It's very cool, check it out

  4. in my opinion you cant really get the best of both without two lenses. fire or black would be the best for sunny days and something around yellow would be good for low light. the only way i can see that happening is if they have some kind of lense that would change tint by itself. i think for the price of a new lense i rather just get another pair of goggles in a different color because the price of a new goggle is only a bit more than new lenses. and then its not good for the lense and goggle to keep switching back and forth (taking out putting in ect) thats what i did. i have two crowbars, one with the black irid. and the other with yellow
