Oasis Cannes in for the Kempton track debut through the 32Red Conditions Stakes
Even though the field set for the Class 4 32Red Conditions Stakes includes only six two-year-old runners, the potential in each one is exceptional, and thus they make credible candidates for taking back to the connections the £3,429 prize money.
The race is scheduled for Thursday, 11th October at Kempton over a mile. Not all the contestants have raced at Kempton before, and the most relied upon entry in the race, Oasis Cannes, will race at Kempton for the first time ever since the bay colt shot into the career.
The two-year-old broke through his maiden only at the third asking of the career.
The favourite entry won the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes on 2nd July, 2012 at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs.
The Sir Mark Prescott Bt trained was paired up with jockey, Luke Morris, they chased the leader, found the phase before the final furlong challenging, but raced on with determination defeating, Kalicamix, by 1 ¼ lengths.
The success opened new avenues for the connections as his next stop was the Earl Of Euston Nursery on 14th July, 2012 at Newmarket over seven furlongs.  The bay colt could not bring forward the winning composure as he ended as the runner-up by a short head’s margin from the winner, Senafe.
The next two outings of the bay colt out of, Miss Provence, ended with the same outcome.
The J L C Pearce owned and bred then landed the Piper-Heidsieck Nursery on 10th August, 2012 at Newmarket over seven furlongs.
The favourite entry riding with the world class jockey, William Buick, did not stay in the background for long. Edging towards the right when inside the final furlong, he kept on with his high spirit, and defeated Makafeh by a head’s mark.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Freeport.
Once again the bay colt failed to retain the winning stature, and ended as the runner-up in the Prix Des Fourrages Thierry Dutertre on 3rd September, 2012 at Craon over a mile.
The race was won by, Alterite, who led the field of seven by four lengths.
He is backed by 3 to 1 odds today, and has been allotted the sixth gate from which he will break out with jockey, Chris Catlin.
