Oasis Dancer rated favourite for the Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Hever Sprint Stakes
Oasis Dancer has been rated as favourite for Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Hever Sprint Stakes (Listed Race) at Lingfield in England on Saturday, March 24, 2012. The triumphant horse will be given a cash prize of £18,714.
10 entries were initially confirmed for the race, which is scheduled to start at 2:55 GMT. However, Taajub, trained by Peter Crate, has been ruled out due to an injury. The rest of the participants are as follows: Medicean Man, Noble Storm, Oasis Dancer,
Borderlescott, Spirit Quartz, Blue Jack, Bajan Tryst, Fratellino and Even Stevens.
Out of these horses, Oasis Dancer is in great rhythm at the moment, thus the bookmakers have awarded him with best odds. He is familiar with the conditions at Lingfield and will have no problems at all.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 19 races overall, winning six of them. He has also secured a couple of runner up position in his career, suggesting that he is quite capable of fighting for race victories.
Importantly, Ralph Beckett’s trainee has been doing a spectacular job in recent times, completing a hat-trick of victories. Out of his three back to back wins, two have come at Lingfield, which is a very good sign. He has the momentum to dominate proceedings
once again, but will need a clear run in order to do so.
In his latest showing, Oasis Dancer ran to victory by half a length. He was the favourite to win that event and did not disappoint anyone. The punters will definitely be encouraged to place a lot of bets in his favour today.
Today’s favourite runner will be partnered by Jim Crowley, who has got quite a lot of experience at this level, but needs to improve his strike rate.
Noble Storm, trained by Ed McMahon, is also expected to make an impression at Lingfield. However, he has been a touch inconsistent recently and will find it hard to match the speed of Oasis Dancer.
The six-year-old horse has entered 27 races in his career, winning eight of them. He finished ninth in his most recent outing, thus the bettors will not be risking much money in his favour.
Medicean Man and Borderlescott will be the other runners, who have the potential of winning today’s race. However, they will have to be at their best in order to challenge the race favourite.
