Oaysis 1 month contacts...how long do you get out of yours? How do you know when to throw them out?

This is my first set of contacts, and my eye doctor told me that I can get upwards of 3 months out of my Oaysis 1 month contacts, providing that I take proper care of them.

They're nearly three months old. They still feel fine, and they're still in focus. How do I know when I should throw them out? When do you typically throw yours out? I have a brand new pack of 6 at home, but if I can push these ones longer (If it's not going to damage my eyes that is!)

Thanks for any input. I'm just so green when it comes to contacts 8-)

  1. um, i have acevue advance with hydraclear for astigmatism, theyre supposed to last 2 weeks, but i keep them untill they get too dry and start irritating my eyes, so usually 1 month, but sometimes i just get bored and throw 'em out just cuz i feel lilke it

  2. If your doc told you three months, then stick with that.  Sounds like they should call them "3-month contacts."

  3. The manufacturer recommends to throw them away after 14 day of use.  If you use them longer than 14 days your putting your eyes at an increased risk of infection.  Some infections from contacts can be sight threatening so be cautious wearing them.  I would say chuck them after 1 month of wear at the longest.

  4. i have the same ones and i have been wearing them for five months. i would throw it away if there is any tear or you feel they are making your vision blurry
