  1. He hasn't seen any, despite the most obvious.  From the time Saddam Hussein took power in Iraq until his demise, roughly 8,000 days passed.  During that time Hussein was responsible for between 70 and 125 civilian deaths per day.  But then, maybe we could have talked to Sadaam and made him see the error of his ways in such genocide.

  2. first of all: it's is it is...and ITS shows ownership

There are more failures than successes.  Ask all the families that have lost loved ones.  When does it END?!

  3. He can talk all he wants, but all he has to do is cut the funds as a senator, so he's just a liar.

  4. As always you Bush supporters leave out the fact that before the surge the Iraqis signed a cease fire agreement. Obama was right about Iraq from the start and Bush lied to invade that country.

Your Hero Bush is responsible for killing over 100, 000 civilians in Iraq and Bush and the Repubs. are responsible for the death of over 4100 brave Americans. Read the articles of impeachment of Bush in Congress. In America we fire failures like Bush and the Repubs. in Congress.

  5. Success:  The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted.

What has the surge ACHIEVED in Iraq?  We aren't talking about pulling out anytime in the next 12 months, in fact we're against setting any timetable for exit...so what has the surge ACHIEVED?

In order for something to be considered a SUCCESS, it needs to have achieved something.  The surge hasn't achieved anything because the moment we roll back troop numbers the same problems creep back up....it has happened throughout our occupation.

So, when you can tell me what the surge achieved, then we can talk about success.  Considering that troops are still there, bombs are going off, and people are still dying I wouldn't consider this too much of anything.  Its PROGRESS that we are seeing in Iraq, which is a great thing.  But to call it "success' is a lie, almost as much of a lie as "mission accomplished."

  6. Would mean supporting the troops.........

  7. During his FIRST visit to Iraq a few weeks ago Obama admitted that Iraq is clearly safter today than it was a few years ago and that progress has definitely been made. (yet he was against the surge).

Now he's saying that he wants to send 7000 more troops to Afghanistan if elected!  Imagine that!  Isn't that the same thing Bush has been saying?

Seems to me that everything Obama was against has been proven effective, and now that it has he's stepping up acting like he's the one behind it all.  Talk about taking credit for somebody else's heavy lifting!

  8. He is.  It's been sooooooooo successful that he feels it's time to go.

  9. Successes?  What success justify the loss of 4,500 US Soldiers lives and the untold number of Soldiers that will spend the rest of their lives disabled?

  10. Success in Iraq will be highlighted by the war ending...

McCain doesn't mind if we're still there 100 years from now...

    They are worlds apart here.

  11. Successes of a completely unnecessary war that has cost many lives and is costing us 3 billion dollars a week and will eventually cost us a trillion dollars?  Obama spoke out against the Iraq War before the invasion and showed superior judgment in his assessment of the Bush administration's motives.  Ending the war is the sensible approach that Obama is focused on.

  12. if it's so freakin successful, why do we need to stay there longer?

and ps, have you noticed how bush has basically adopted obama's iraq policy and is moving towards obama's timetable plan? do i hear you saying "WHY DOESN'T GEORGE BUSH HIGHLIGHT THE SUCCESSES IN IRAQ!!!!"? i guess not...

  13. Well not really when there has been NO political reconciliation, the entire point of the surge was to provide this and it hasn't

Now by pulling OUT like Obama has urged the shift of accountability to the Iraqi's will force on them what the SURGE couldn't

You should have a better grasp of what you're talking about before posting

    Makes you look kinda foolish
