  1. You are correct he is completely worng in supporting that bill, I will be tough on democrats when they are wrong.

  2. Yes they are afraid, facts and logic are terrifying to people who make all decisions based on emotion and how it makes them feel. Barack the Barbarian is doomed.

  3. Obama is a cave type of guy, he will cave to anything at any time.

  4. I never fear any of your questions and you know it  :)

I disagree with Obama's backing of the bill that granted immunity to the telecoms.  His rationale was that the House version of the bill fixed many of the flaws in the Senate bill that allowed abuse of the power to wiretap.  He felt that a compromise had to be worked out because a bill without immunity for the telecoms would have been again vetoed by President Bush.  He also said that if he becomes President he would pay close attention to how the powers granted in the legislation were used.  That was his explanation and the full text of his statement can be found at the link below.

I disagree with him because I feel that the primary reason that the telecom immunity was so important to the Bush Administration was ensure that the worst abuses of the 4th Amendment protections committed during his presidency would never see the light of day in the courts.

  5. In my opinion, to appear tough on national security.  If I recall, he was against the bill before some compromises were made.  But he sure pissed off the left-wingers by supporting the FISA bill.  Oh well, nobody takes them very seriously anyways.

  6. Omama is probably not a bad man,

So, he voted to protect Americans,

  7. Fear a question ? Not a chance.

Now to the question. Opinions differ.

  8. Yes I wish he hadn't done that. He messed up. I can't justify it but I'd still take him over McCain any day.

  9. Simple...If it was overturned it would mean that the apparatus would be dismantled and the evidence of abuse destroyed and witnesses scattered far and wide.

Since Obama is confident of winning, he will be in charge of all of the agencies involved, he will allow congressional oversight to look for improprieties and after which it can be tweaked to ensure its Constitutionality, and then revise it accordingly.

Nobody believes that the project should be abolished, we need security. But by simply adding some judicial oversight and magistrates who are fairly tech savvy, the thing could serve the same function without infringing unnecessarily on citizen's rights.

    Why do you ask?

  10. If you really think about it, that sort of activity is practiced anyway.

When other countries do it like Cuba, we call them dictators.  When

its implemented in the US, its called national security.  It's a

way of keeping the current government in power.

  11. Ultimately the Democrats knew that Republicans could beat them over the head with this in November - otherwise they would have continued to oppose it for rhetorical purposes (bashing Bush).

  12. Now you have 3.

  13. Alright, alright...

    I admit it....my party is f**ked up....

We can't defend it. In fact...we are ashamed of being in support of this guy...

We don't tell people that...but this guy is really clueless.

I don't know who I am going to vote for...

I am doubting Obama day by day....

McCain..well he is crazy too. But his side-kick does have some spunk...and she is hot too...

    oh well...I'm just the Bonger.
