Does Obama have courage to go against his own establisment?

On the way back home from the convention, the former head of the DNC, Don Fowler, and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina were overheard dissecting Vice Presidential pick Sarah Palin. After deciding she was "Dan Quayle on steroids", they then turned their attention to the impending hurricane(s), declaring that God was on their side.

  1. What is wrong with your brain?

  2. What did they say that was wrong?  They did not have proper time to vet her and did invite a potential disaster.

  3. Depends.  Does McCain have the courage to condemn the remarks of right-wing evangelicals (I'm looking at you, Pat Robertson!) who said that former natural disasters were God punishing whatever group (g**s, feminists, etc.) that they didn't like?

  4. What he said doesn't upset me as much as the fat that the a## hole laughed.  How do you laugh about a thing like that.  I bet the people in New Orleans aren't laughing.

  5. You are not a Democrat, you are a Republican plant.

I could not hear the conversation, but even if it is as you say, idiots come from all parties.

I don't have to explain anything Obama/McCain or Nelson Rockefeller did.  I didn't do it.

  6. i dont think he would be smart enough to make sense out of your post to be honest with you....im not a genius but it took me a minute to get it..and i dont have cue cards prompting me ...so umm no

  7. "They got caught with their pants down" , They should be accountable .

  8. Is McCain going to stand up against Bush for lying to the American people about the Iraq war! You remember. don't you? that right you like guy that vote 90% with a lair!

  9. They can say anything the want to say as long as they don't bad-mouth g**s.

  10. I am sure that Republicans had no problem with Christian evangelicals and even the likes of Limbaugh saying that Hurricane Katrina was god's punishment of g**s and other sinners in New Orleans.  Did you post anything regarding Focus on the Family ministers praying for rain on Obama's speech last Thursday?

To answer your question, I am sure if asked, Obama would condemn such remarks, but why should he?  He didnt make them any more than McCain didnt make the insensitive remarks about Katrina.

  11. Do you have a transscript? You can't understand a word that's said.

  12. Condemn them yourself.  Obama is too busy to make comments on every fool thing anyone says.  He is running for president - he would be doing nothing but condemning things if he played it your way.  And anyway, he'd be wasting his time trying to please your buddies, since they're never going to vote for him anyway.

  13. I'm a Democrat.

Should Obama discredit anything negative I say, too?

  14. You do realize that the GOP and numerous Christian right supporters blamed hurricanes, fires, tsunamis, and every other thing that happens in the world on 'the evil g**s/sinfulness of mankind/the liberal congress' etc. Where were you when that was happening? Where were you just weeks ago when Dobson's group called for rain at the DNC Convention?
