  1. There is no doubt in my mind that she is a qualified candidate for support from the women voters in America. She seems to have a knack for public speaking, although many of her comments in this mornings speech were reminiscent of Hillary Clinton.

    However;

Even with all of those factors in play, McCain has just negated every ounce of criticism that he has spewed regarding Obama's lack of experience. Working for an executive, and being a Senator for 2 years, does not constitute experience in global politics, policies, management, or business. I think that his choice is a political ploy to gain support from women voters.

Oh, one more thing, She is a lifetime member of the NRA.....which seems pretty typical for someone from Sandpoint, Idaho living in Alaska.

  2. the republican party is still against womens rights, so what difference should it make?  everyone can see right through this little stunt....makes McCain look desperate!

  3. Well, it will probably give McCain an advantage, as women will vote Republican to just get a woman VP.

Obama probably should have picked a woman.

  4. Not at all, because:

    She's only 44

    She has no federal experience

She has no foreign policy experience

She's only been governor for less than 2 years

    She's pro-life (most women vote pro-choice)

    She's under investigation for corruption

    She wants to drill ANWR

Her husband works for BP (coincidence?)

Alaska only has 3 electoral votes!

I actually feel like McCain just nailed his own coffin.

  5. No!  She is more of the same and it's a political move.  They are trying to attract the PUMA's but all I'm seeing on the web is anger that they think women are stupid enough to fall for that.  Hillary said its the issues not the person that matter.

  6. Worry?  Thanks for taking the time for spelling out her qualifications, but how does any of that come into play for assuming the reigns of a government the size and extent of the USA?  Any of it?  I think those are great personal traits, but come on.  McCain chose a woman for very obvious reasons, she plays directly to his comments about Hillary Clinton's snubbing and to Obama's racial heritage.  She is a mother of 5, in a world where people are already straining the limits of feasibility.  Outsider?  What's so remote about southcentral Alaska?  She has a child with Down's Syndrome.  Do you have any idea how much of a risk that makes her?  She could be called to immediate duty and not be able to respond because her son is undergoing open heart surgery, or any number of  the special needs that child is going to experience in the next 4 years.  She has a son going to Iraq.  Just like Joe Biden.  I hope that neither of them suffers the loss associated with the loss now totalling 4150 young Americans, kids that would have made better teachers, workers, professionals, or students.  Pro-life - good for her, but what does that mean to someone else.  She served an executive?  So does my receptionist, what does that have to do with the price of tea in china?

  7. It doesn't worry me! It THRILLS me! Palin isn't a very wise choice for VP. Lieberman would have worried MUCH more.

  8. Obviously. Go back and read some of their responses to other similar questions. They might as well stay home in November and save their precious foreign oil

  9. Does he actually think Hillary Supporters will vote for him simply because he chose a women. You Cannot compare Hillary Clinton to Palin. Most Women in this country are Pro-Life so he is going to have a problem with that. Joe Biden also has a son who will be deploying to Iraq soon his name is Beau Biden. Alaska has more Polar Bears than People so she has no experience working for People.

  10. No.  I don't care about her personal life except for the fact that she is under investigation for ethics violations.

What makes me mad is that McCain only chose her to pander to former Clinton supporters.  That is all.  McCain is using sexism and women to get votes.  I doubt whether he even cares about Palin outside for what she can do for him to get elected.

It is low and despicable.  Palin would never had been considered if Clinton didn't run.

  11. No.  Palin is so unqualified, one has to wonder what state the nation will be in if she should have to take over.

  12. WOW!!  She is awesome, McCain made a brilliant choice!

  13. I think it was a good choice.  I supported Hillary and now I support Obama.  McCain's choice will help insure a Democratic victory.

As noted above, Lieberman would have been a worrisome choice for Democrats.

  14. Way better than the insider Obama picked.  The only thing this gal is missing is a thicker resume but since obama supporters do not seem to care about that issue she could easily win some over!

  15. No. I still don't like the tactics of the mccain campaign. I also don't like being pandered to and that is what he is trying to do with women voters. His thinking is this, Hilliary is so popular among women that if I pick a woman for VP they will all flock to me. Sorry but I am not that easy.

  16. LOL...I'm soooooo happy. A former beauty queen to take on world leaders.

    This is a GIFT!

  17. They should be worried.  McCain has just sealed the election.

  18. She is no Hilary !

Is that the Best you can do ?

  19. take a good look at the list you wrote yourself. He is Using this woman for his campaign duh even i blind person could see this.

  20. Its interesting that Obama who loves to talk about of change, picked the ultimate insider and partisan politician, Biden. Biden represents the status quo.

McCain chose someone who fights against corruption and someone who is actually fights for change, Palin.

  21. They should be but their going to do what they always do attack the person........even thought they are a great American.....they say she is a nobody but so is Obama......2 years in the senate and only 8 in the state senate she's been a mayor/Governor for over 15 years....she's also had real jobs and not just sat behind a desk her whole like like Obama....

  22. no

She is currently under investigation for abuse of power ( Cheney in a dress)

    http://www.ktva.com/ci_10026165

She has no foreign relations experience.

She will be seen as a woman supporting a man who does not support women's rights such as protection from domestic violence ( McBush voted against the Violence against Women act) as well as supporting a man who thinks women should not get equal pay for equal work.

Despite her being a woman, her stances are not change, just more of the same.

  23. Not  at  all, it  looks  like  Obama  has  McBush  a  little  scared.

  24. No.

This woman is 44 years old and no one has even heard of her before.  It was a desperate choice.

McCain cannot use the experience card against Obama anymore.  His 1st decision was to pick someone with no experience and whom we've never even heard of before as second in charge.

As inexperienced as Obama may be, we have all known him for years now. He has been in the spotlight and has been vetted by we the voters.

We don't know Palin from a stranger on the street.

  25. hopefully they will dismiss her

    underestimate her

democrats are so far in the clouds

    with Messiah

    that they will dismiss it

    they already have I think

    saying Palin has no experience

when in fact she has more Executive Experience

    then obama    lololololol

  26. You left one out-she also opposes g*y marriage.

  27. She's the perfect choice as far as this Republican Male is concerned.

  28. No. I think it was a huge mistake.

I hope Hillary supporters see this as a HUGE insult.

God I hope the American people, even the republicans, see this as a huge insult.

THE GOP IS GRASPING AT STRAWS.

And I hope its puppetmasters drown.

  29. No, not at all.  Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies -- that's not the change we need, it's just more of the same.

And apparently McCain feels that this choice will attract Hillary voters, which seems to imply that he thinks all women candidates are the same and women voters are dumb enough to believe that.  It's insulting and patronizing.

  30. This is not good at all for Republicans. He should have picked someone  with  good credentials like former CEO of HP Carly Fiorina.

  31. NO WE ARE LOVING IT

    (1) let's get serious this show the lack of judgment on McCain part.(2)Palin is no Hillary Clinton she only been a Governor for 2 years and we are talking about Alaska where the wild life out number the peoples 20 to 1.(3) i would not feel comfortable having Palin running this country in a case where something happening to McCain .3) Palin is under a ethic investigation .4) We know that Biden is ready to lead on day one if something ever happen to Obama. I personally think McCain just handed the presidency to OBAMA.
