well I personally am not sure if this woman is capable of running our country if something happens to McCain. What has she done to prove that she is ready for that kind of responsibility? I really wanted Obama to choose Hilary as well. At least i know Hilary had plans, and she has evidence of helping people with healthcare. Lets not forget who she is married to, and he could have some influence over her decisions. Hes not gaining my vote by doing that. It would be petty and unreasonable. But some people are not gonna vote for Obama for petty reasons, such as him being Black, so those people might leave the Democratic party to vote for McCain. Im sure there are people who are gonna be upset about Hilary and move over to this new woman. This is how people are.

Nothing is wrong with it from the Democratic point of view.

Nobody who supported Hillary is going to have anything in common with Palin who is pro-life, pro-war, and pro-drilling.

From the Republican point of view, she is  just "there". She is acceptable to people who are already for McCain, but brings in no Hillary supporters.

She brings no real new talent to the ticket and no real experience.

But the main problem is that if McCain croaks, she is plan B.

She is a bad plan B. And everyone knows that if you don't have a plan B...you don't have a plan.

It's not wrong, but they had a senior moment and forgot all the supposed anti-Obama Hillary supporters were just Republicans with no plans to support Hillary anyway. Hillary and Bill have made it clear who to vote for, and her real supporters are going to vote for Obama. McCain wasted his VP choice when he could have picked someone known for their ethics, or their opposition to Bush policies, or their popularity in a swing state, but they chose a religious nutcase governor of a tiny, solid-red state in a misguided grab at women's votes.

I think she was a cracker jack choice! my first pick would have been Romney cause they are gonna beat her up pretty bad, simply because she is a woman. just like they did hillary. but this old dem dirt they are tossing is just horse pucky. so shes tough and qualified and she can sure take on the big boys out there, and sure she will take votes that hillary left behind. also she was union so she will appeal to that sector of voters. she is not a washington insider and is outside the box.  if that lady can handle 5 kids and run a state like alaska , and play hockey , and hunt fish, and shes shown to me shes tough,shes got my vote. obama and biden sure cant pick on here they got enough of a shady past of their own., so cant cast stones!
