Question:

Obama and Christianity? (please read entire question)?

Its hard for me to imagine a true Christian telling others (who are most likely not Christians) that people like *those people* cling to guns and religion as a negative thing. As Christians know that we are called to *cling to God*

I heard the audio, it was most definitely said with a distain.

Fellow Christians, do you find it a bit hard to swallow that Obama *is* a Christian? It's ok if he isnt, but why lie about it?

  1. As a born-again Christian I find in hard to swallow, and in fact, repulsive, that my religion is being used to promote politics.  Jesus was not a Republican or a Democrat, to suggest that he was, for political gain, makes a mockery of faith.

The "Conservative Christians" in the mega-churches are neither.  True conservatives speak to personal choice and responsibility for one's actions.  True Christians follow Christ, not men claiming to be Christ.

As to whether or not Obama is Christian, only he and God know.  If you don't understand that comment, ask your pastor, in the unlikely circumstance that you have one.

EDIT: I hope not, but, that is always a possibility.  I took your question to challenge Obama's religious belief - which I do not think is appropriate.  If I misunderstood - sorry and feel free to add to your question.  Thanks.
