Obama and Kennedy will the republican religious attacks fail again?

the first time in modern politics that religion was used this much by the republicans was when the Nixon's campaign tried to link the fact that J.F.K. being catholic would be controlled by the catholic church,whatever that meant both Obama and Kennedy have charisma and were young and called for a new way to do things, will the religious attacks work? or will the nixon way of doing business succeed?

Hopefully.  I am sick of the religious right trying to convince people that Barack Obama is both a Muslim and a Christian radical.  Then they wrap themselves in the flag and rant about the Pledge of Allegiance.  Sinclair Lewis said, When Fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.  Those Conservatives who like to make false accusations about the Pledge, flag pins, and such should read up on the Pledge.  It was written by a Socialist, and under God did not appear in the original.  The Knights of Columbus, a Catholic organization lobbied to have the words added.  I'll bet flag pins are made in China, and I see pictures of McCain all the time not wearing one.  But I suppose in the unlikely event that anyone asked him why he wasn't wearing a flag pin, like they did Obama, he would give his standard answer, I was a POW.

Yes, the fact that JFK was a Catholic was used against him.  "To address fears that his Roman Catholicism would impact his decision-making, he famously told the Greater Houston Ministerial Association on September 12, 1960, "I am not the Catholic candidate for President. I am the Democratic Party's candidate for President who also happens to be a Catholic. I do not speak for my Church on public matters — and the Church does not speak for me."[17]

Whoever that was who said JFK's last living brother was drunk, when he actually is suffering from a brain tumor, shame on you.  One Kennedy brother died during WW 2 and two were assassinated.  Have a little class.

The Republicans have been doing business the Nixon since before Nixon, so they won't change. Article of the US Constitution says that there shall be no religious test for any office in the government. It is easy to see that the religious cannot read.

It is difficult to equate the Roman Catholic Church with the anti-American hate circus run by Jeremiah Wright.  The fact that Obama sat moronically in the pew for twenty years without speaking up certainly raises questions about his sense of right and wrong.
