Obama away from the cue cards?

Why aren't the republicans trying to get obama away from the cue cards through debate, this is one of their best weapons which they aren't using?

This Mclame dude is a robot! He's really quite SCARY! He may only be but a remote controlled robot being controlled by Bush and Co. This way the GOP and Bush have control for at least 4 more years!

your premise is dead wrong

Obama is a excellent "off the cuff speaker" and does not need cue cards. In a town square forum he'd eat McCain up as John gets in trouble when he varies from "the Script"
