Please help me as I do not understand how he's playing the race card. He acts and sound more White than I do. Why do people believe he's a Muslim? Would a True Christian really care either way? Is this hatred, really because too many really want a White male in the White House. Some serious Answers Please!

  1. Sorry. I don't think I can help you at all.

  2. Check out my link to see how he is using the race card. He played it numerous times against Bill and Hillary, now he has done it against the Reps.

  3. Please help me as I do not understand how he's playing the race card. He acts and sound more White than I do.

Just lately Obama was giving a speech Jacksonville, Florida and these are his exact words, "“We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid,” Obama said at the fundraiser. “They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black? He’s got a feisty wife.”  Take notice of where he says, "And did I mention he's black."  Obama is the one bringing race into this.  He is inferring that Republicans are racist and that they will try to influence people to not vote for him because he is black.  If that isn't a perfect example of him playing the race card I don't know what is.

Why do people believe he's a Muslim?

The majority of Americans don't believe he is a Muslim, but his Islamic background is very important and should be considered especially with the situation we face in the Middle East.  You have to realize that many of these Middle Eastern leaders are fundamentalist Muslims. To them, even if you have never practiced the religion, you are Muslims just by being born to a Muslim parent. Since they consider him Muslim and he claims to be Christian, that makes him an apostate. Apostates are viewed with contempt by fundamentalist Muslims. They are considered even lower than non-believers. How willing do you think they are going to be to enter into negotiations with him when his presence alone is an insult to them. They would rather spit on an apostate, than talk to one. Like it or not, Obama's Islamic background is very relevant when it comes to Middle Eastern politics.

Is this hatred, really because too many really want a White male in the White House.

It has nothing to do with hatred or his skin color, but if that is what you wish to blindly believe, more power to you.

  4. People against him think everyone is as afraid of muslims as they are.  And think it will turn votes.  Too many people are focused on 1 issue, the war on terror and dont care about the important issues, there have always been terrorists and always will be terrorists.  Being afraid and trading freedom for security is giving in to terror, and splitting the nation.  That says on 9-11  the terrorists won, they have us divided and giving up freedom..  In 1775 it was "give me liberty or give me death"  2008 its more like "Take as much liberty as you want, just please protect me".

  5. You prove my point with your own statement.  "He acts and sound more White than I do," so why does try to act like he's a boy from the hood?  He grew up in a white family (his mother is white); but to hear him talk he knows all about what the "black community" needs to do to solve their issues.

His dad, step dad are Muslim.  He was taught in Muslim schools.  He has Muslim cousins who he's cozy with...blood's thicker than water my friend.

The "Black Liberation Theology" taught by his Church for 20 years if far from traditional Christianity.  There's a close connection between his brand of Christianity and Black Muslims.

Of course a "True" Christian would care.  Why do you assume hatered?  I don't hate him because of his partial black heritage, I don't believe I hate him at all, but I'll be damned if I'll vote for him, or anybody who isn't mainline American.

  6. crazy white folk~!!!

  7. Most are just Haters, and racist idiots, but then again, this is Yahoo answers where people should not be taken serious. Just a bunch of people writing anything and only Mccain can play the race card. Obama can't because Whites are the majority and hatred toward any religion is very Un-Christian. Bottom line, the majority want something different and not the same old men in Washington!

  8. Most is just hatred toward seeing a Black man in a position to win the Presidency. Sad, when we tell the world, we are a country where every American can be President. Most will always continue the lies about him being a Muslim, so there is nothing he can do except take it. The overall truth is, Hatred and racist views. Race card, I have not seen that one and believe me Mccain, Bush, Clinton all have some serious skeltons in their closet, as most American's past! I do not think you will get too many serious answers!

  9. 99% of Americans know those answers. Just BS and some serious hatred. I just wish there had been more non-white males in the past, so maybe this country could have solved this issue. hatred and racism will never stop until we all answer to a higher power!

  10. There has and will always be hatred for the candidates. It's nothing new what's the big deal? Why do you think it's because of his heritage or religion at all? It's sounds like you think that anyone who isnt voting for him is either racist or think he is Muslim. Heritage and religion should be left out of it completely. People need to stop trying to intimidate people with those kinds of dirty politics.  There will never be change. Dirty politics are just getting dirtier. What ever it takes to control the masses - its sad. Why don't Obama supporters just say what they mean - If you don't support our candidate than your a racist!  Hmm much like what Bush's people used but his was  - Vote for Bush or your anti-American.  No matter what political side it comes from this kind intimidation (even if its from supporters and not the candidate) is discouraging and creates mistrust. It is that kind of tactic by people that very well may be the largest source of mistrust. Instead of helping Obama his folllowers who do that are hurting him.

Let's get back to the issues - the real ones like the economy, the war, how most of the world hates the US, the environment, and so on.

  11. He is playing the race card because he is half black.

  13. Obama is not a muslim, he has been a devout christians who believe in Christ as the savior. Also, this guy had been well educated from Harvard so that is why he is such a good speaker.I don't listen to what people say, but I do my own research and I learn that many things that people are saying are just rumors.

  15. These people want McCain because they love their guns like toys and they are so important to them need them badly to compensate for their on inferior insecurities. They are lacking some where else so the need these guns to make feel better about their issues.Let just hope they don't flip out and go on a shooting rampage. They want him to keep themselves rich and everyone else poor! Especially if you are black. Why Do you think they send their kids to all white private schools. They are the ones who are racist hiding behind their christian moralist selfish views. Yes the pretend to care to help the poor and helpless with charity ,but the real truth is if all of our problems were fixed they would go out of business and we can not have that can we. So we republicans want everything to stay the same. We want to stay rich and continue to give a little to the poor for the tax breaks, but we do not want that problem eradicated for that same reason.
