Shouldn't U.S. presidents only hold U.S. citizenship by law? He has never renounced his Kenyan citizenship, but I heard that his mother renounced her U.S. citizenship...so is he even a U.S. citizen, since they can't find his birth certificate?

  1. Dont you think McCain would have used this already? Or his own party would have known this, if it was at all true?

  2. No he didn't.

No, often US citizens are required to obtain dual citizenship for various reasons.

No, Ann did not renounce her citizenship.  Yes, he has provided his Hawaiian Birth certificate.

  3. Stop the madness, you sound like another paid GOP hack, grow-up

  4. THis question is a waste of space

  5. 'He has never renounced his Kenyan citizenship'

'they can't find his birth certificate'

You're going to have to provide some links, if you're going to make such wild claims.

Even right-wing myth makers at WND repudiate the claim:

'A separate WND investigation into Obama's birth certificate utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic. The investigation also revealed methods used by some of the bloggers to determine the document was fake involved forgeries, in that a few bloggers added text and images to the certificate scan that weren't originally there.'

The Hawaii Dept. of Health, which maintains the records, gives the final word:

'It’s a valid Hawaii state birth certificate'

'We circled back to the Department of Health, had a newsroom colleague bring in her own Hawaii birth certificate to see if it looks the same (it’s identical).'

I can understand your continued confusion on this issue though, since when one searches Yahoo Answers, the Best Answers never include links to help resolve the matter.  They tend to be selected based on voicing opinion consistent with the Asker's position.

  6. I heard that Kenyan citizens cannot have dual-citizenship. I don't know if that's true, but if he turned out to be a Kenyan citizen, would that mean he's not a US citizen? I don't know, but it is interesting that he still hasn't shown a real birth certificate.

  7. yes, you hear a lot of things to sway and justify your vote.

  8. That is one of the questions which were filed in a law suit in a Federal Court by the ex-Attorney General of the state of Pennsylvania who also happens to be a Democrat. There are five questions which need to be answer in causes of action as it pertains to Obama legally being granted the right to run for President as it relates to his status which would qualify him under the Constitution. This is no joke because this case will not be thrown out. If I were the Democrats, I wouldn't be hypocritically harping on Sarah Palin and her pregnant daughter, but I would rather be focusing on my Democrat lead man and get to the bottom of his citizenship issue.

  9. So, many people have done that. It's a non issue

  10. I don't believe it's against the law for US presidents to hold dual-citizenship.

Anyways Obama couldn't have received dual-citizenship from his father.  Obama jr. was born in 1961 in Hawaii, the Kenyan Constitution only confers dual-citizenship to children of Kenyan nationals born after 1963.  Their Kenyan citizenship is removed when they become adults if they don't live in that country.

And no he didn't take off the flag, he removed a corporate logo.

  11. God Damned America, that's what his pastor says.

  12. OMG, please. It's what, 65 days before the election? Do you really still think you are going to get anywhere with this nonsense? Give it up already, your desperation and lack of knowledge on US and international citizenship is sad to see.

  13. Obama was born in Hawaii after it became a state.

    He is a US citizen.

  14. I am going to only explain this one more time, under Kenyan law citizens of Kenya can only be citizens of Kenya(NO Dual Citizenship)

  15. McCain was born in Panama. I was born in Germany on an American Military Base. Does that mean I shouldn't be allowed to run for President?

Senator Obama should be able to run, and should be allowed to serve if elected. I just don't think he should be elected.

  16. Did you also hear McCain was actually born in Panama? You are supposed to be a natural born U.S citizen to run for Pres.

  17. Sorry, those records are being held by the whacko who heads of the Dem party (YeeeeeeeeaaaaaahHHHHH!).

They won't reveal that he was NOT born an american until he's crashed our country into the side of a mountain.

  18. They do have his birth certificate and his mother has nothing to do with it. The man was born on American soil, automatically making him a US citizen.
