does anyone else think that Obama is fake. He is like Gov Patrick of Massachusetts, great at speechs, then at debates hes okay and then he wont follow up with anything he said.

No, I don't think he is fake, but I do think he is nothing more than a marketed brand with little to no substance. I like to refer to him as the cardboard candidate because for being a presidential candidate Obama sure to does lack depth, along with the obligatory experience and qualifications.

Yes, Mr O plans to give illegal aliens (lawbreakers) citizenship, free college tuition, free medical care & health insurance, Social Security, and he is going to raise income taxes substantially on all households with an income of $30,000 and up. Of course, even with substantially higher income, Social Security taxes, "windfall profits taxes" on your retirement savings & sale of your home, & all other taxes, he will still bankrupt the US, destroy what is left of the medical system, and none of us will have any health care, education, retirement savings, etc.

If your household has $30,000 income, your federal income taxes will increase @$5000/yr in his 1st year (more than double current rates of @$4600), and double taxes again before 2012. If you have saved a 401k, IRA, or anything else for your current retirement, he plans to take about half (to start with) in addition to all existing taxes. And if you sell your house, he wants 42 percent.

Of course, his current household income is in excess of $500,000 a year, and I'm wondering how he plans to get around paying taxes, since he is not about to pay these increased taxes himself.

Well, considering how many people he helped who lost their jobs and were suffering tough times and addiction in the south side of chicago while not having any political power and not being in office, i'm pretty sure he'll be able to follow through with his promises. Especially with an extremely personal likable long time senator like Biden on his side. Voting for Obama is a chance, he wants alot of change and maybe not all of it can be made but a lot can. And i'd rather take a chance on Obama's change than have another Bush in office. Being that hes going to be able to appoint new supreme court justices i'm sure he'll be able to follow through.

He is the original phony. Talks about how he "gets it" where the middle class are concerned, then has a convention that is more elaborate than the royal wedding, and all just to pay homage to him. Anyone who dosnt think this man is egocentric, grandiose, and arrogant, is looking at him through rose colored glasses. And at this elaborate shin dig, the lobbyist he claims he is going to rid washington of, are wining and dining the democratic elected officials. The protesters are pushed around, and the security has orders not to allow them to be seen on camera. IF he really "gets it", he could have asked himself how many college educations could have been financed with the money spent on this commercial to sell Obama.
