Nope.  And even if he were born overseas, his mother was American which makes him an American citizen from birth.  That's close enough.

There's enough reason to not vote for him without making things up and straining at minutiae.

His mother was an American Citizen, as I recall, being born of a citizen of the US is all that is required to be a full fledged US Citizen. My dad was born in Tokyo, son of a US Army officer and a Chinese wife. (yes, Chinese). He was automatically a US Citizen... so what is the 'thing' about Obama? Other than just blather?

There is a federal lawsuit right now in Pennsylvania. A democrat is sueing Obama, claiming that his citizenship disqualifies him from running for President. The lawsuit was filed on 8/21/08.

Why isn't the media covering it? They haven't even MENTIONED it. Maybe the National Enquirer will break the story like they did with Edwards.

No it's not true. His mother was AMERICAN and since he was born from her he was an American at birth. If your mother is an American citizen it doesn't matter WHERE you are born. You're still considered an citizen at birth.

This is a common misconception with both Obama and McCain. Obama was born in Hawaii - which is a United State of America.

McCain was born on Coco Solo Naval Air Station, a submarine base in the Atlantic Ocean...which is still considered US Territory, therefore a legal American birth.

Both candidates are American-born citizens.
