  1. He would like to take away many of our guns. He supports bans on semi-automatic firearms and concealed carry. Remember, it is not what a candidate says, it is what the candidate actually does. He says he is for our right to own guns, yet he has voted the opposite.

  2. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT

Gun control will remain the same.

  3. Most of the democrats running for U.S. offices are pro gun control. In fact most of them would like it if no one owned any guns.

  4. I think he is not in favor of the right to carry a concealed weapon

  5. Here is a question I posted previously regarding opinions on gun control, and it discusses your question-

    1. Do you agree with Barack Obama that Americans should be forced to apply for a government license before purchasing a firearm?

    2. Do you agree with Barack Obama that the federal government should overturn the Right-to-Carry protections that are now in place in 40 states?

    3. Do you agree with Barack Obama that all gun stores within five miles of a school or par should be forced to shut down?

    4. Do you support what politicians like Chuck Schumer who are using their power in the US Senate to block pro-Second Amendment judicial nominees from being confirmed as judges on our federal courts?

    5. Do you agree with Barack Obama that certain firearms should be banned based only on the way they look?

    6. Do you agree with Barack Obama that cities and municiplaities should be allowed to ban handguns?

    7. Do you agree with Barack Obama that convicted felons such as murderers and rapists--should automatically be allowed to vote in future elections?

    8. Do you believe that national media polls claiming that Americans want more gun control are fair, and that they accurately represent the views of voters like you?

    9. Would you vote for a candidate who supports proposed UN treaties giving UM bureaucrats the power to dictate America's policies on firearms?

    10. Would you KNOWINGLY vote for any candidate who supports any portion of the gun-ban lobby's anti-Second Amendment agenda?

  6. This is what it says on his website:

    PROTECTING GUN RIGHTS

Respect the Second Amendment: Millions of hunters and shooters own and use guns each year. Barack Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase,

    own, transport, and use guns.

EXPANDING ACCESS TO PLACES TO HUNT AND FISH

Barack Obama recognizes that American hunters and anglers are losing access to places to hunt and fish. Obama supports the Open Fields Incentives legislation that provides incentives to farmers and ranchers who voluntarily open their land to hunting, fishing and other wildlife-related activities.

  7. His views have been murky at best.  In one NPR interview that I've linked to, he cites both extremes and then mentions we need to take some course down the middle.

He also came out saying he supported the DC handgun ban shortly before the SC case ruling it was unconstitutional. See 2nd link.

His historical record however clearly shows he doesn't support gun rights.  See 3rd link.

  8. I am liberal and I have many guns for defending myself from neocon fanatics.

  9. According to his voting record, he wants strong limitations on guns.

He against a bill that protected gun companies from law suits if people use their guns in a bad way

So if your a member of the NRA then don't vote Obama.

  10. [edit] Gun control

As a state legislator in Illinois, Obama supported banning the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic firearms, increasing state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms and requiring manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.[194] He supported a "ban" on the sale and possession of handguns on a political questionnaire.[195][196] In 1999, he urged for prohibiting the operation of any gun store within five miles of a school or park, which according to gun-rights advocates would eliminate gun stores from most of the inhabited portion of the United States.[197] He sponsored a bill in 2000 limiting handgun purchases to one per month.

As state senator, he voted against a 2004 measure that allowed self-defense as an affirmative defense to those charged with violating local laws making it otherwise unlawful for such persons to possess firearms.[198] He also voted against allowing persons who had obtained domestic violence protective orders to carry handguns for their protection.[197]

From 1994 through 2002, Obama was a board member of the Joyce Foundation, which provides funds for gun control organizations in the United States.[199][200]

While in the US Senate, Obama has supported several gun control measures, including restricting the purchase of firearms at gun shows and the reauthorization of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban.[201] Obama voted against legislation protecting firearm manufacturers from certain liability suits, which gun-rights advocates say are designed to bankrupt the firearms industry.[202] Obama did vote in favor of the 2006 Vitter Amendment to prohibit the confiscation of lawful firearms during an emergency or major disaster, which passed 84-16.[203]

During a February 15, 2008 press conference, Obama stated, "I think there is an individual right to bear arms, but it's subject to commonsense regulation."[204] Obama has also stated his opposition to allowing citizens to carry concealed firearms[205] and supports a national law outlawing the practice.[206][207]

Obama is rated F by the National Rifle Association.[citation needed] The NRA describes the recipient of its F grade as a "true enemy of gun owners’ rights."[208] He is also rated F by Gun Owners of America[209] who stated that Obama will "Get the Dems 'Barack' into the Business of Gun Control".[210]

Obama initially voiced support of Washington DC's handgun ban. Following the Supreme Court decision on the ban, he voiced support of the decision overturning the law, saying, "Today's decision reinforces that if we act responsibly, we can both protect the constitutional right to bear arms and keep our communities and our children safe."
