Obama supporters why aren't you...?

taking the words of your leader and backing off Sarah Palin's family. Even a man like Obama can see that it is wrong, why cant you?

"We don't go after people's families. We don't get them involved in the politics. It's not appropriate and it's not relevant. Our people were not involved in any way in this and they will not be. And if I ever thought there was somebody in my campaign that was involved in something like that, they'd be fired," Obama said.

Obama also said: "This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories."

because all of my life i have had repubelicans shove "family values" down my throat, telling my family and families like mine that we are not as good as them, and the irony of a good conservative christian family not living up to those values is too good to pass up.

Barak Obama has indeed taken the high ground on this subject and holding his comments. And I admire him for that. I'm still not going to vote for him but he has shown himself to be a true gentleman. He also shyed away from attacking Hillary during their race.

As evidenced here some of his followers have decided to show disrespect for their leader and continue to attack Governor Palin's family. And that is just sad.

I agree that they should. But why is it that no one thought to make the same plea to McCain supporters when some of them were calling Obama a terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, and McCain soundly condemned those attacks? Remember that speaker who kept emphasizing Obama's middle name... who McCain then repudiated? Why isn't a similar appeal as yours made to McCain supporters on those attacks?

I do agree on this Palin story. I just find it odd that being considerate and not smearing someone is an appeal that is only made to Obama supporters, not the other way around.

If anyone is stupid enough to be influenced by ANYTHING posted on Yahoo Answers they need mental help. A very large number of members here are teenagers or intellectually impaired.

I only come here to read the mindless foolishness and get a good laugh. Anyone needing to get information needs to go to their local library, C-Span or the library of congress.

Why would anyone expect a country filled with people that watch more television, deliberately attempt to under educate their children or allow their own jobs be shipped out from under them to have the sense to make an informed decision about anything that makes a difference.

Put it to you like this. If more people can name the current contestants on American idol than the names of their states Senators in Washington, why expect them to have anything rational to contribute here?

reasons why the obama biden ticket is better:

1. obama has much more experience than palin. look at this palin just came from nowhere to be a vice president. in two months do you think people in all of america will know what she eally possesses? no....obama has been on the campaign for some time and has truly demonstrated with hard work of who he really is.

2. he has taken his criticism and showed that he has class and quality

3. mccain says he has been a 'veteran' of war but obama is a true veteran of the community and will be a veteran for America! obama gave up his acception to work at the wall street and he been supporting communities most of his livelihood.

4. he loves all races. he has a mixed heritage and i think both white and black people will learn to love each other more and more everyday.

5. obama do not use people to get votes. he expects people to vote on issues unlike mccain who is a user and uses palin just to get votes. i'm sure he would ask palin to leave if she ever gets to be v.p.

6. my vice leader biden has exceptional experience in the senate.

7. he has good foreign policy experience which would give the country a good edge in making useful negotiations with other countries on the issue of war
