(AP) Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama may have a lot of explaining to do.

He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive. He supported allowing retired police officers to carry concealed weapons, but opposed allowing people to use banned handguns to defend against intruders in their homes. And the list of sensitive topics goes on.

With only a slim, two-year record in the U.S. Senate, Obama doesn't have many controversial congressional votes which political opponents can frame into attack ads. But his eight years as an Illinois state senator are sprinkled with potentially explosive land mines, such as his abortion and gun control votes.

Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case

reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to

shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4.

'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed

kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally,

shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft. In McCain's case, the

'wet-start' 'cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear

F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fuel tank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb.

bomb off it's 500 lb. rated mount, and touched off the explosions and

massive fire.

The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration, along with 167

of his fellow Forrestal shipmates (including those who died later from

wounds suffered).

'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots.

McCain was quickly (they were still counting the Forrestal dead)

transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be

immediately transferred).

McCain is against abortion, against women and birth control, against equal pay, bomb bomb bomb, reducing our working people in this country to have no jobs, people have been taped killing people across the street saying they thought they were going to intrude, people cant just lie to kill and that's the real issue, McCain has a shady past and a lot more shady peole in it, and many of them are involved in criminal activity that has lead this country into disaster,war housing, credit card debt increases, while protecting the stock market for the increase of the stock  market, it is important to not loose sight of the big picture.  Little stuff to focus on gets the big trouble makers off the hook from being talked about

I am so sorry but I just don't get this, so you want to give medical aide to a baby that has already been aborted?? How is this even possible?? Your not ok with a fetus being aborted, but your ok with thousands of teenage kids dying in a foreign soil so that Bush can claim Three Trillion dollars in his bank account??

Ah yes, the most liberal, left-wing abortionist in the Senate. Barack Obama voted against banning partial birth abortions and voted against the Born Alive Infants act which would provide medical care to those that survived abortions. Is this the man that America wants in the Oval Office? I don't think so and I can only hope people like you and I who realize the truth can stop him.

The aborted babies c**p has already been debunked.  Sorry, it's a lie.  He  voted NO in committee and Present on the floor (with 7 others) -- it's not even the same bill that they describe and it was already made illegal in '75 by a different law.
