Are you proud of your Obese Children around the ages of 2-7? Do you want them to be happy when they get older? Do you feel better about your self because of your obese children?

How much do you spend on food for your children? Do you realize what your doing to your kids and the future of the country? Think hard and then answer please.

  1. I quite agree with you. if your children are obese, you should feed them one cup of raw brown rice a day. that will teach them to be fat in YOUR house.

Obese parents often try to ruin their children's lives because they have given up on themselves, and they are too selfish to think about anything other than what to eat next.

  2. Alot of parents reward children or pacify them with food. That's just plain lazy if you ask me and from what I have seen in these cased 9 out of 10 parents are overweight themselves.

  3. I think I'm one of the few here who actually understand what you're meaning---I believe you're asking why are parents overindulging their children as in giving their toddler an adult plate size of food, am I correct? I've seen too many parents give their kids 2 donuts and a pop and they're under the age of 4. I've seen a 2 yr old at McDonalds eat the Happy Meal and then get a big sundae on top of it--that's too much food for one small child to intake and it is sad that people think they are doing good by their children but they don't know the ramifications of their actions in the future. There's no point to it really but lack of education in proper healthy eating.

  4. What in the h**l does being Obese have to do with the future of country?  Why would a parent be any less proud of their child because they were obese?  Why do you assume only Obese parents have obese children?  Do you ever think before you open your mouth?  Try not being a idiot, then answer these questions.

  5. Some kids can't help it ,bc jeans are against them and I think its very sad to see them like that they are not mature enough to understand what they are doing them to there salve and how to stop!

  6. lol, it's nothing more than pre-meditated attempted murder. It should be a crime and include jail/diet time for the parents. They are killing themselves and their kids. Fussing about the economy, but eating meals the size of a normal persons daily diet...baffles me to say the least. It's nausiating.

The percentage of overweight children in the United States is growing at an alarming rate — 1 out of 3 kids are now considered overweight or obese.

Many kids are spending less time exercising and more time in front of the TV, computer, or video-game console. And today's busy families have fewer free moments to prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals, day in and day out. From fast food to electronics, quick and easy seems to be the mindset of many people in the new millennium.

Preventing kids from becoming overweight means adapting the way your family eats and exercises, and how you spend time together. Helping kids lead healthy lifestyles begins with parents who lead by example.

  7. I think its sad seeing obese children. Though sometimes can be medical, other times its from lazy parents. My kids are perfect weight, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

  8. Are you making assumptions that large people have large children?  How ignorant of you...

  9. You & some of these answerers are very judgmental.  Might want to work on that.

  10. the ones that are i mean is it your problem what do you care let them be feel sorry for your kids youll probably make them eat only healthy food you were probably a fat kid i bet that it well get over it and ask a better question

  11. Unless its for a medical reason, obese children are a horrible reflection on their parents. It's the adults fault, setting a horrible example for their kids. Feeding them unhealthy food because its convient and cheap. Parents with obese children need to realize that they're slowly killing their children. its irresponsible, and disguisting. I cant believe so many of them take a blind eye to this issue. They dont want to face the truth that its all in the raising of the child. If they teach them good exercise habits and give them balanced nutrition, then their wouldnt be this problem. Parents say that they love their chubby kids, that they eat what they want, they dont want to be mean, they are happy etc etc. But what will it take to open their eyes, a heart attack? Diabetes? I sure hope not. They need to get their acts together, and lead by example.

  12. Not all children are obese because of over eating . Some children just like some adults have health problems that can make them obese.

  13. My son is overweight and I love him for who he is not how he looks...this is a stupid question and one that affects many people.  I want what is best for my son and my other children and I do not intentionally make him overweight-sometimes it is genetics.  The poor guy eats less than everyone in our family, drinks only water and exercises every day.  I feel this question is coming from a very ignorant person with a lot of issues-it is you I feel sorry for not my child.

  14. Wow, Love your question.  Good answers.  Some need to be reported especially ladyscience and the other guy she's got an issue with.

I agree that *some* kids have medical issues they can't help and that makes them obese or overweight.  Sometimes you don't know.  Yes, when a child is obese and their parents are too, you know its from lack of exercise and poor eating habits.  My cousin is obese and her kids were healthy weight before age 3, then after that they blew up.  Yes, that was from poor eating.  They are 8 and older and now trying to eat healthy, so that's good.

Wonder if anyone will actually answer your question.

  15. I agree with what you are saying. I dont take food away from my kids. But they eat pleanty of fruits and vegggies they also like salad. My kids are very active. But my kids are not obese eithermy youngest is almost 3 and she is 25 pounds and my oldest is almost 5 (we have struggled tohelp her gain weight she was on a feeding tube) but we finally have her to 35 pounds. I really do believe kids are not pushed on eating healthy or being active this day and age. I think most parents once they are home from work just want to sit so they are okay eating out all the time and instead of going out and playing they plug in the x box. I think parents are to blame all the way
