what symtoms does OCD cause? Pysically, and Mentally?

  1. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a mental condition in which the sufferer is subject to intrusive thoughts and compulsions. If the sufferer does not concede to these thoughts and compulsions, they can often feel anxious, worried or scared etc. The few 'main' compulsions would be those to do with hygiene such as hand washing and continual cleaning because the sufferer fears the germs and such will make them sick or a need to check to see if their door is locked repeatedly.

    OCD is in no way limited to this, however. If someone suffers from it they can begin to have these compulsions over anything, they may need to always absolutely have to put their left shoe on first, or take exactly 20 even steps to get to the path outside their home etc.

    As stated before, if they do not 'obay' the compulsions they may feel like something horrible is going to happen and find it incredibly hard to get the thought out of their head.
