I'll look. Which city in California did he die in, and what month in 2008?

You have to give us an approximate date of death, a location, and approximately how old he was.  The world is a big place and the population is to large to go off of name alone.  Consequently, I did find an obituary for an Alfonso Santiago, but I have no way of knowing if it is the right one or wrong one.  Here is the obituary I found.

Alfonso Santiago Sr., 80, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at his home.

He was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, and moved to this area 11 years ago from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. He was a retail window trimmer and a Catholic by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; two sons, Alfonso Santiago Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ruben Santiago of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Edna Santiago of Spring Hill and Doris Santiago of Seville, Spain; three sisters, Lula Garcia of Orlando, and Anna Torres and Doris Soler, both of Bronx, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

I found this one.....but you could always check the Social Security Death Index to narrow down your location, and then check online with that newpaper for an obituary
