Oblivion Help? Theif or Assassin?

Ok i just started a new character and i am now doing a stealth guy. So i was wondering should i join the thief's guild or the assassins guild first? i want to be a thief more than a assassin.

Go with thief then if your feeling more like a thief. if your character is really evil then go with assassin.

join the thieves guild. the final reward after the last quest will really help you in the Dark Brotherhood. My brother did both

go with the thieves guild, if you do the brotherhood quests first you might have to kill someone you might have to steal from later making it impossible to complete a quest for the thieves...

The Thieves Guild is ultimately more satisfying that the Dark Brotherhood not only because of the more enjoyable quests, but you do improve your skills more which will help you with some of the harder Dark Brotherhood quests.  Also, you might end up having to kill someone that will help you on your Thieves Guild quests, and that would just ruin your game.  It's more imperative to build your stealth skills in the Thieves Guild where you are forbidden from killing people, so when it comes to assassinating people in the Dark Brotherhood quests, you'll pull them off with a greater chance of not being caught, and getting the bonus rewards that are offered if you pull off the assassination in a certain way.

I'm with all the 4 guilds, and have done all quests with no problems at all.
