I have been turned into a vampire in the game and need to be cured. The cure ingredients include nightshade leafs (which I already have) garlic (have some but need help finding more) and bloodgrass which I have also found but the witch won’t accept them for some reason. But she did ask for the shoots so is their some way of removing the shoots from the bloodgrass? Also need to now where I can easily find more garlic. Best answer will be chosen as soon as possible!

  1. You MAY have encountered the vampire glitch.  You can find more information about it here:

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/...

    (WARNING: SPOILERS!!!)

You shouldn't have to remove shoots from bloodgrass. the witch not taking bloodgrass is actually a glitch, the FAQ I just linked describes a workaround:

    Open up console and type:

    set ms40.bloodgrassvar to 2

He says you may be able to prevent the bug by giving the Witch the Vampire Ashes first.

If this doesn't work, try typing this in the console:

    set MS40.cureready to 1

It will force the quest to complete.  Although it is technically cheating, it will fix the bug.

As for garlic, break into a few houses and go through peoples' cellars.  Cellars in the Imperial City seem to have a lot of it.

    EDIT:

I just realized that you may not know how to open the console.

When you are in the game, press "~" and the console will open.

    EDIT 2:

Oh, you never specified that you were on PS3.

I found this regarding a potential fix for the PS3 glitch - I hope it helps:  http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstat...

  2. According to my official guide -

There is a lot of Garlic in Skingrad, in and around people's houses, including Summermist Manor, and the House for Sale.

You just need bloodgrass - if you have it, then no problem

  3. There's an alternative possibility, if the DLCs have been released for the PS3.  (I don't know if they have; if they haven't, please accept my apologies and move on.)

You want the Vile Lair DLC.  It's basically an official house mod for evil evil characters...but inside, without having to purchase /any/ upgrades, is an easy cure for vampirism.  It looks like a small pool of water with a column in the middle.  There are rocks along some walls in that room.  Take a rock, hop in the water and click on the column.  Voila!  All better--and without any of the irritating bugginess of the Cure quest!
