Observing People?

I have to obeserve people for my cultural anthropology class. We can't observe people in the mall and another group already has churches. What are some good places?

Sporting events or if you are in an area that is having a Fall Festival soon that would be great.  They both bring out major variety!  Good luck!

bars or clubs

a theater lobby or hotel lobby

a gym

a mcdonalds or such

walmart

on a public bus or subway

just out on a sidewalk of a busy street during rush hour

Libraries (they are airconditioned and you can pretend you are reading a magazine, napping in a chair or on the Internet while you are observing).

Starbucks and other coffee shops

Train stations

At kids sports games or practices

A rock concert

are you in college? you should just go to your student union and watch ppl or a sporting event.

Why not malls or churches? I observe people in the mall and church and I have found out that society's largest concentration of c**p is in these two places.

Go to, school cafeteria, sporting event, swimming pools, night clubs, coffee shops, book stores (find out what they read as opposed to how they talk or behave), place where cops hand out, city hall, and a sporting goods store.

Observe your classmates whilst observing others - this should be interesting.

Factories, bars, car dealerships, court houses, airports (the best), the list goes on...
