If they're way obsessed and talk about them everyday, then it's bad. If they go around using them as role models when they hear "gossip" about something they did that doesn't seem acceptable, then no.

You don't sound like you know for sure if it's okay yourself. Hilary's okay in my book, but Miley might be not such a good role model. People may disagree with me, but she presents herself as stuck-up, although she may seem "sweet." I'm sorry, but it's the truth. My mother thinks so, and she watched the Late Show interview with her on Jay Leno; she didn't even have to watch five seconds to see how Miley responded snidely to his questions.
