My friend (U.S. citizen) has been offered a job in India and needs to get her work visa. She would rather fly to the Phillippenes and get the visa processed by the Indian embassy there than come all the way back to the U.S. Will this be OK or does she need to return to the U.S. in order to get the visa processed?

Thanks!

  1. Your question is best answered by the Indian Embassy in Manila and/or her prospective employer. A quick phone call or fax or email will set the matter to rest. Saves her the time and money of going to the Philippines only to find out that she really has to go back to the US. Good luck.

  2. If your friend is presently stationed in the

Philippenes,it will be in order for her to apply to the Indian embassy there for a visa eventhough

she is a citizen of the USA.
