Is it possible to obtain a copy of someones last will and testament if

you are not a relative? Do you have to have permission from the relatives to get a copy from BD&M? Are the next of kin or any member informed that a person has requested a copy? ect..

hope that makes sense.....

thanks in advance

  1. I would think if you're not a relative, you would have to get one of the relatives to get a copy for you.

I'm not exactly sure how it works though.

  2. Yes, I would think so....

  3. A will is a public document and anyone may apply for a copy without giving reasons or obtaining consent. It is a purely commercial transaction. The next of kin are not informed about any such application.
