Obtaining a work permit for the UK?

Hello everyone. I have been out of graduate school for 3 years now but I really want to work in England or the UK higher Education System. I am having a hard time finding or obtaining a work visa. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should apply or how I can obtain a visa to work in the UK?

You will need a work permit.  This means an employer here will have to provide a job for you.  That employer has to advertise the job, interview applicants and have good reason to select someone from overseas.  Then apply at great expense for the work permit - which might be refused and no refund!!

In order to get a work permit for the UK you first must have a job offer and your employer must meet the Home Office's requirements. Just because you have an offer does not ensure a work permit will be granted. Reason being there is a process and certification that the employer must go through before they can offer the job to your. If your employer has not complied with the rules then no permit will be granted and even if they have complied there is no guarantee that you will receive one.

At the present time the UK is migrating to a Tier point system based on education, earnings, shortages in that job sector, and age. This system is similar to Australia's system and Tier 1 was implemented on 1 July 2008. I suspect your problem is due to the fact that the migration is occurring and the rules are much tougher. Furthermore I suspect that your problem may be due to the fact that there is not a shortage of workers in the area your are interested in working. My suggestion would be prepared that you will not be able to obtain a work permit due to the changes in the law.

here in the UK we have a way of letting people get work Visa's here, first of you would have to send a Video of your self to the government, on this video you must Dance around like your on drugs naked.

Also involve a letter explaining all your bad habits e.g your lazy and never work etc.

and last but not least harass them like h**l over the phone and email and be abusive.
