Obtaining dual citizenship between the US and Costa Rica?

I was born/adopted from Costa Rica and recently learned I can obtain dual citizenship in both the US (which I already have) and Costa Rica. Help!

  1. If you already have you citizenship in the US you're set.  My daughter was born in CR, but since her father (he was the first US born citizen in his family)  and I were both born in the US she has dual citizenship.  

    If it is paperwork you're worried about contact your local consulate.

  4. If you have a birth certificate from Costa Rica it is not any problem getting your permanent residency in Costa Rica.  If you need any help with this process, we have lawyers that specialize in this.
