Occaisonal ps3 online problems?

my ps3 is going through one of its little phases where it decides to not pick up the internet, that might have even been working on it just an hour or less before. im just wondering, does anyone know any good tricks for me to get it back up and running when things like this happen, when it just wont connect? it always keeps timing out on the obtaining ip address. i actually even had it working fine just less than 10 minutes before this started...ive also tried turning it off for a few minutes which usually fixes it. it might also just this one other computer in my house that sometimes seems to just block my connection. so in that case, theres nothing i can do i assume?

try using a cord for internet instead of wireless

if you have it connected wirelessly could be a weak signal or something interfering with the signal. If if works on and off It would most likely be a weak signal. Try moving it closer to your wireless router or your router closer to your ps3.

another option is to move the ps3 closer to the router if wireless is your only option.

PS: they have 50 ft+ ethernet cords, i have one running down into the basement and back up into the computer room.
