about a year ago i started taking pills for my acne, which i guess were WAY too strong. After about a week of taking them, i started noticing some chest pain and i felt like i couldnt breath. I stopped taking them, but the pain lasted for about another 3 months, so i dunno if the pills were actually the ones causing this to happen.

Now, for the past week, ive been getting the same chest pain and shortness of breath, but only at night, when im about to go asleep. does anybody have any idea of what it might be happening?

  1. It sounds to me like you may be experiencing anxiety but, only your Dr can tell you for sure. Make an appointment and in the mean time keep track of when symptoms occur, time of day, duration, severity and what you were doing when it happened. This information will be very helpful to your doctor in making a diagnosis. Good luck!

  2. Tetracycline and doxycycline,... if remain in esophagus will cause ulcer,...but usually don't cause dyspnea.

Have you chest discomfort in running or walking?

Chest discomfort has many causes. One of the most emergent works is to rule out unstable angina. Then, please visit a cardiologist promptly, your discomfort not to be of cardiac origin.

  3. I would suggest you see your doctor IMMEDIATELY, or even go the hsopital. If your pains are minor, there is no harm in asking. Any pain with these symptoms really do need checking out, no matter how severe or minor
