  1. we got ocean view...on our cruise..we must have looked out it once...as we were approaching our port...the only time you spend in your room is to sleep or shower. there is too much going on..

  2. Go for it! You won't be spending much time in your room anyways.

  3. yeah, you would be surprised how little time you spend in your room on a cruise.  its not bad at all and the top deck is usually where the partying happens, so it'll be quieter

  4. I would never take a cruise without a room with an ocean view. Even the bottom floor is better than no window at all. Remember, the main deck is not actually the top of the ship (it's usually one-two below the verandah) so you're not actually that far from the action. Just try and stay close to an elevator.

  5. The ADVANTAGES of the bottom deck are:

-The lower you are on the ship, the less you'll feel the motion of the ocean

-Easy access to the bars and lounges

The DISADVANTAGES of the bottom deck are:

-Sometimes it's a porthole window rather than a full picture window

-You're relatively far from the pool deck and the casual dining restaurant (but it's just a few more floors on the elevator ... not really a big deal)

-If you're on the side where the ship docks (usually the Port side, but not always) your view may not be so nice when you're in port

But in any case it's better than an inside cabin!  =)

    Hope this helps.

  6. I've had both internal rooms and ocean view.. unfortunately the ocean view was second to last at the stern (back), and every time we docked or were about to take sail, we knew it- there was an incredibly loud grinding of the anchor being raised and lowered!

Ocean View is worth it- but just make sure you're NOT at the back of the ship- trust me!
