  1. Yasmin most likely has the same ingredients which would cause similar side effects. Yasmin side effects may include nausea, dizziness, breast soreness, acne and headaches.

Ocella is just the generic form but I suggest talking to your doctor about it.

  2. I'm starting my second month on Ocella now. When I first started it, I read the awful stories of side effects too, and it made me a little nervous. Though I think some of it may be psychological, the only answer I can offer is that everyone reacts differently to a new pill, and while I don't think Ocella is the same exact thing as Yasmin, it's very similar.

Personally, at the end of my first month of taking Ocella, I experienced the worst cramps I have in years. They synced up with the first day of my period, so while I wasn't really concerned, I had to pop a few Advil to take care of the cramps. I've usually had mild to no cramps on Yasmin, but I feel like the intensified cramps are just part of my body adjusting to the new pill. That's been the only real difference for me... I didn't experience any legitimate weight gain or increase in breast size.
