The Saffron Revolution is real. What will you be doing on this day to promote peace?

Aung San Suu Kyi is a truly inspirational person. Like a Nelson Mandela or a Mahatma Gandhi she can move thousands or millions by quiet, principled resistance to tyranny. I will stop and take a moment to salute her efforts and the efforts of human rights activists like her on October 24th. The UN has its challenges but it has been on balance a force for good since its founding, especially in the area of peace and human rights.

The voice of one is never heard, the voice of many is seldom heard , the  guns of war are heard by those in in ear shot, but the cries of a baby are only heard by there Mothers.

The UN is deaf , and serves only those who can aford to serve.

Are you saying that that useless, corrupt, and wasteful organization known as the United Nations has a day designated for it? The Annan Kofi "Oil for Food" scandals, 1994 Rwandan genocide, the Second Congo War failures, and other incompetencies and gross failures of the UN shows that this organization is a humongous waste of money and effort.

The time to celebrate will be when this pathetic excuse of this parasitic organization is shut down or dissolved.

We can start by relocating the U.N. to Haiti.
