  1. Dotel used to be a pretty good closer. That was a few years ago, though.Right now he is either very good or very bad.And the games in which he's very bad really kill the White Sox.Put the blame on Kenny Williams and Ozzie Guillen for this one.Williams signed him hoping he had something for the team(which he doesn't) and blame Guillen for putting him in situations where the game is on the line. And has anyone else noticed that Ozzie Guillen seems to give the latino players a lot more chances than they deserve.A few examples other than Dotel.Jose Contreras - what is his record since 2006?But Ozzie trots him out to the mound every fifth day, until he blew his achilles.

Juan Uribe- sure he's hitting all the way into the .240's and makes a decent play now and then. But didn't Josh Fields have a pretty good year last year replacing Crede?Javier Vazquez- last year he was 15-8.Take away that season and he's a .500 pitcher.Strikeouts aren't wins.On another team he'd be a 4 or 5 starter at best.

  2. he should have been out off the whitesoxs like 2 years

  3. He needs to work on his mechanics.

It would be hard for him a 'veteran' to accept an assignment to Triple-A.

  4. I'm a White Sox fan and I've said it before. I still trust Dotel. We don't have that much better of an option. I remember how our bullpen was last year, so I think we've imporved a lot.

I know this is a pennant race and I know we need a solid bullpen, but I'm not ready to give up on Dotel yet.

  5. Finally, someone agrees! I have been a White Sox fan forever! Don;t give Dotel all of the blame. It's the coaches that don't send him down, and they are the ones who put him in! I think if they sent him down to AAA, that would be great! He could get some experience there, and the White Sox would benefit too! HE could become a better pitcher while there! I just don't get why he gets brought in. He either shuts the team down, or blows it! You can't take those risks, expecially when it's down to the wire.

I predict the Sox could have won 5 more games if he didn't pitch. TOnight's loss, and Opening Day are some examples! I just dopn't get it!
