I was on this site a few weeks ago and someone asked a question.... the person asked the significance of this day and there were answers, a few of the responses to the question were that some parts of the world would have light for 1.5 days and some parts of the world would have 1.5 days of dark., and that it only happens every 2000 yrs. and if so where can i find out more about this?? where does the U.S. fall into place???

  1. I have not heard of this one (yet) (till now).

If you think of the science of this .. the earth would have to stop spinning for 1 1/2  days. Or .. the moon would have to stay just right between (eclipse) the sun and the earth.. that's for the dark part.

I don't know..  I'll look into this one further..

  2. do you have any references for this nonsense? bcuz thats what it sounds like...

  3. The US is right in the middle.  We'll get half a day of light and half a day of darkness.  Come to think of it, that's what we get every day, so 10/17 will be just another normal day.

Something that happens 2000 times a day rather than once every 2000 years is that gullible or naive people believe the lies of others.

What you should do right now, is find a lawyer and sue the school system that provided your science "education", because they did a miserable job of it.

  4. Actually it's the other way around - parts of the world would have DARK for 1.5 days and some would have 1.5 days of LIGHT.

  5. It is probably an attempt to see just how gullible people can be.  Just like 2012 and Bigfoot, etc...

  6. It will also be the 19th anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake that interrupted the World Series in San Francisco.

  7. No, this can't be. You are being bamboozled.
