Question:

October vacation: Miami vs. Mexico?

My girlfriends and i are planning a 4 night vacation for the end of October. We are debating between Miami Beach, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta. Which place would be the best at that time of year taking into consideration the weather, price, nice hotels, nightlife? We want to stay at a place right on the beach (maybe all-inclusive) that is like a resort. Also, any hotel recommendations would be great.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Mexico

  2. cancun, thats what i would say. not only because im mexican, but the nightlife is spectacular, the resorts are beatiful, but the price is quite high. but really, its worth it!!!

  3. I travel to Puerto Vallarta every October and I absolutely love it.  The weather is perfect (low 90's) I get a great price in October since it is considered their low season.  The only thing I caution is that PVR has a different kind of crowd then Cancun, the night life is not that exciting, with that said if you have a good all-inclusive you don't need the cities night life!

The other recommendation I can give for a girls trip - I just had my annual one 2 weeks ago- We went to a place in Florida called Treasure Island (Sunset Vistas Suites 2 bedroom/full kitchen type apartment - they also had some 3 bedroom).  This is easy to get to from Tampa and we really had an awesome time.  The worlds largest beach bar (Gators) was just down the road from us and it was hoping every night.
