Odd Requests - Home DVD to VHS?

This is kind of backwards but I need to convert a home movie DVD into a VHS tape. I have my VCR player hooked to my TV. I plug in my Camcorder to the outlets on the VCR - play the movie on the camera and "record" from the VCR. When I play back it plays what is on the TV. The I plugged the camcorder into the TV and clicked on record on the VCR but it again copied what was playing on the TV even though I was watching the home movie on the TV......Do I unplug the TV from the VCR completely? How can I get this home movie onto a VHS tape? Thanks!

  1. i think you have the VCR set to record off the antenna input instead of the AV inputs. try changing the VCR channel selector to AV input, and running the camcorder into the VCR AV  INPUTS directly.

  2. Plug the Home DVD to the input of the TV and the VCR to the Output of the TV. Press Play on the DVD Player after switching on the TV and simultanously press record on the VCR.
