I was babysitting a 9 year old boy last night. I noticed after he got dressed for bed that he had very thick padded underwear on under his Pj's. I asked him if he was supposed to be wearing it, he said yes and got all weird.

What does this mean?

  1. It means he wears "Under Jams" as they are called, to prevent bed wetting. They are like diapers. He probably acted strange, because most children are embarrassed of their bed wetting.

  2. He's a bedwetter, which is kind of embarrassing for any kid that age, which is why he got "all weird".

  3. He is still wetting his bed. Their special pj's.

  4. That means that he wets the bed and doesn't really want anyone to know. Let alone asking him questions re: it.

If you baby sit him again.. just ignore it. And he will think you forgot about it.

  5. he wets his bed

  6. Most likely, he has a problem with wetting the bed at night and wears pull ups.  He was probably acting weird because he was embarassed.

What made you think you should inquire about the kind of underwear he was wearing?  I find THAT odd.

  7. It was probably some sort of diaper because he most likely still has difficulty controlling his bladder during the night.  He was probably weird about it, because bed-wetting is a very sensitive issue to most kids.

  8. It means that you should let the little guy keep his respect and not pry into his bed wetting.

  9. It means Mind your own business.
