Question:

Odd dreams - Is this the reason?

Lately I've been having really odd dreams. One where my boyfriend was suddenly choking me (he's not voilent, and i'm not scared of him) and last night I had a dream about a big flood. It was me, my boyfriend and my grandmother (she pasted away a year ago.) my grandfather wasn't in the dream at all (we live with him). I've been very bored with life lately. I'm up all night and it seems like there is nothing ever to entertain me.

Do you think that my dreams are just a way for my mind to give me something to think about or to entertain me?

  1. Maybe your boyfriend was choking you because you feel as if you cant speak or you feel as if he thinks you cannot speak to him. Maybe you have to voice out your bordom to him, tell him how you feel, he may have an answer to you.

  2. My opinion is that your dream is telling you that your boyfriend is the wrong relationship for you at this time. He is choking you (stifling your growth mentally , emotionally, or spiritually) or washing over (or away) your individuality. Your grandmother's presence may be a way of telling yourself that this relationship is something from the past, not for now, and maybe not for in the future.

Your dreams are a way your mind gets your attention, so, yes, it is -- they are -- trying to make you think.
