Every now and then I'll wrench my head to the side, and I feel something pop, then I get this sensation of something draining and it feels cold and stings for a bit. What have I done to myself, what's it called, and is it harmful to me in the long run?

  1. did you crack your neck maby  ?

  2. inner ear problem maybe, i have it too.

  3. stop wrenching

  4. Where do you feel the pop?  That could be very important.  If it is in your neck, go to a doctor right away, preferably a neurologist.  It could be as simple as arthritis or something more serious.  If it is in your jaw area, it could be temporomandibular disorder, but you would likely have other symptoms with this like jaw pain or headache in your temple.

If you are hearing a pop, you really need to get to a doctor - popping sounds in the body are not typically normal, especially if it just started recently.

  5. maybe your neck is out you should go see a chiropractor.
