I have read about them in the baby books and my OB/Gyn recommended I try some. How on earth do you know if you are squeezing the right parts? I think I am, but how do I tell?

  1. Try doing them while peeing, if you stop your stream you're doing it right =)

  2. HEY!

You can't mistake the "hold your urine in" muscles! I know you know what they are! You tighten your bottom like you're preventing yourself from urinating, or preventing yourself from making p**p.

    That simple.

    Tighten your tushie.

  3. to know if your doing it right sit on the toilet and go pee but try and stop yourself half way through when you make it stop that's the muscles you should use to do the kegels with.... hope that helps

  4. At our ante-natal classes the midwife told us to always make sure you sit up straight when you do them or your standing. You can feel a difference if you slouch in your seat and do kegels you can feel your bum squeezing- this isnt what you want. Thats why you sit up straight and pull your lower abdomen in towards your spine and your can feel your vaginal area tightening this is when you can tell your doing it properly. You should try doing sets of 10 for as long as you feel comfortable as many times a day.

    Hope i helped

    Good luck
