Can eye doctors tell if someone is faking it (squinting and saying they can't see what's shown )just to get glasses?

To an extent.  They do look inside of your eye, not just that the surface, and they can see some types of malformations.

Why anyone would lie to get glasses, I don't know.  Wearing glasses when you don't need them is a great way to ruin your eyesight permanently.  If you want to wear glasses you don't need, just get frames with lenses that don't have a prescription.  That's what actors do when they're playing a roll that requires glasses.

I don't think this is possible, especially if your vision is only supposed to be a little bad. I don't understand why you'd do this, however.
