  1. it could be..

...but the tudors had no immediate heirs- so if you are it would be very very distant.

  2. Possibly, maybe you should ask some family members and see if you are related to some pass kings or queens.

  3. why dont you try those ancester websites? theyr really cool. my mom traced her dad all the way to judge roy bean. lol

  4. Possibly. You never know.

  5. The last Tudar was certainly not Elizabeth I. She was the last Tudor Monarch. The first Tudor King was HenryVII he had 4 sons and 4 Daughters.HenryVIII was as you know married 6 times and had 2 daughters and 1 son. He also had 3 or 4 illigitimate children.  So the answer is you could have a tenuous link to a tudor but maybe not the one you were wishing for.

  6. Maybe

  7. Anything's possible.  And, you have the name to start with.  It'd be nice to think so.

  8. It might be worth checking into.

  9. yeah, y not?

do lil researches n u'll get to da bottom of this

    =)

  10. I'm sure you do.

Is it okay if I call you Kambrie or should I just call you Princess?

  11. its doubtful but slightly possible. its much more likely that it is coincidence or perhaps you are related to a help or slave of the tudors as many slaves took on their owners last names.

  12. ya of course maybe your ancestors were cloe to them you could be a princess!!!

  13. The last Tudor was Elizabeth the 1st. All others were absorbed by the Stewards, and Savoys .

  14. Anything is possible. Owen Tudor was the paternal grandfather of King Henry VII of England. The current British monarch, HM Queen Elizabeth II, is his direct descendant through the female-line only (which is why she does not carry the Tudor surname).

Henry VII (Henry Tudor) was the founder of the Tudor Dynasty, and only surviving child of Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond. He fathered four royal offspring, and only one son (Henry VIII) to carry on the family line that survived into his adulthood and produced his own children (Mary I, Elizabeth I, Edward VI). However, the Tudor male-line from this branch died out when King Edward VI died.

You are probably a distant descendant from another branch of the Tudor family. Owen Tudor sired at least six other children, however, none had any direct descendants through the male-line. Most of the Tudor's line were cut short by lack of males to carry on the family name. You could be a direct descendant through the male line by an older branch of the Tudor family that did not die out.

  15. Tudor surname is not uncommon, however if you want to trace your ancestory, leave any attempts to find links with the Tudor Monarchs: there are no ancestors of theirs, who would bear the name "Tudor" (the name died out because there were no male heirs - only possible ancestors of the Tudor dynasty can be thorugh Henry VIII's sisters, who naturally didn't keep their maiden surnames afteir their marriages).

Instead, I would suggest you to have a look at the ancestors of Owen Tudor and Catherine of Valois (widow of Henry V of England and mother to Henry VI of England, the children of Catherine and Owen were thus half-brothers and sisters to Henry VI of England and founders of the Tudor dynasty).

Owen and Catherine had 2 children together that had issues:

    1) Edmund Tudor, who married Lady Margaret Beaufort. Their only child, Henry (future Henry VII) was born 2 months after his death. All descendants of Henry VII are known well enough and I say pretty surely that you are not descendant from Edmund Tudor.

    2) Jasper Tudor, who was married to Catherine Woodville (sister of Elizabeth Woodville - the wife and consort of Edward IV, mother to Edward V, Prince Richard and Queen Elizabeth of York, and grandmother to Henry VIII). Though they didn't have children together, Jasper is known to have at least 3 illegitimate children, among them 1 son, whom he had publically recognized (and thus, given them his surname).

You might be descendant from that son.

Previous to Owen Tudor, his family didn't bear the surname 'Tudor' (Owen was descended from the Welsh prince Rhys ap Gruffudd, and bore the surname ap Maredudd. Owen took the first name of his grandfather (Tudor ap Maredudd) as his first name. Thus, if you are not descended from the illegitimate son of Jasper Tudor, you simply cannot be descendant from any Tudor (that is to say, any Tudor, related to Owen Tudor, his children, or his grandchildren).

Good luck researching your family tree! :)

  16. you might be but why are you asking
