I have a weird smell coming mainly from my kitchen. I don't know what it is, whats causing it, or how to get rid of it. I've tried lysol and many of other cleaning products. It is very strong! For some reason I just cant get it to go away. It's so bad it makes me so sick to my stomach I can barely go into the kitchen.

  1. Sometimes when an electrical switch or lighting fitting is failing, it produces a strong smell,   I remember having a light fitting fitted with a bulb that was in excess of the rating, and it produced an awfulsmell.

  2. Could be drain pan under fridge, disposal, dirty trash can, ---or----a dead mouse under the fridge or in the walls. A dead mouse can smell for a month or two.

  3. There's several possibilities for this. 1 your garbage disposal or drains themselves. Pour lemon juice or bleach into them.

2 Food trapped under your stove or a dirty oven. Clean the oven if dirty and pull out your stove or open the bottom pullout and remove the pans. Check the floor and clean.

    3. Too many forget about the drain pans on fridges, pull it out and clean it. It not only will stink but a dirty drain pan will shorten the life of your fridge.

    4 Wash your garbage can

  4. Do you have a garbage disposal? They can often smell.

I would check under your refrigerator for stagnant water.

Make sure that you do not have a dry trap. This can cause a foul odor coming out from drain outlets.

  5. We had an odd smell in our kitchen recently. We found that our water inlet pipe to our fridge was leaking slightly and had made the wall behind it damp. I simply tightened the flexible hose with a monkey wrench and after a few days the wall dried up and the smell went away.
