Oddly shaped Genesis cartridge?

So you see my copy of some sega genesis game called Dizzy or something...it has an odd dome shaped..shape.My question is....why does it have it?Is it a special type of video game cartridge, or is it just nothing?

    I'm pretty sure it's just a limited edition or something.
