Odds in Jamr’s favour for the Swaidan Trading Company – Peugeot Handicap at Meydan
Meydan is hosting the Swaidan Trading Company – Peugeot Handicap Tapeta on 23rd February, 2012. The race holds a purse of £46, 452 and covers a distance of 1 mile and 3 furlongs.
The 11 runners competing in this race are:
Spring Of Fame,
Mikhail Glinka,
Rostrum,
Honour System,
Jardim,
Nanton,
Jamr,
Burdlaz,
Fiery Lad,
Kidnapped, and
Yaseer.
Jamr, the son of Singspiel, out of Never Enough, has been performing terrifically this year.
On 6th January, 2012, he secured a first place finish in the Longines Master Moon Phases Handicap, held at Meydan.
The 4-year-old secured a victory over race favourite, Sharaayeen.
He once again finished in first place, in the Swaidan Trading Company – VDL Handicap, at Meydan, on 20th January, 2012, by defeating Measuring Time.
He was less successful in his most recent outing as he finished in second place. He was a joint race favourite with Holberg, in the Dubal Casthouse Trophy Handicap, at Meydan, on 9th February, 2012.
Nanton, the son of Spinning World, out of Grab The Green, is attracting bets for this race.
His trainer, E. Charpy, was displeased as his last performance was below satisfactory.
Nanton finished in 12th place, in a line-up of 13 runners, in the Tabloid Trophy Handicap, at Meydan, on 3rd February, 2012.
Jardim’s performance improved remarkably in the last race. The 6-year-old horse is the son of Ski Champ, out of Copacabana Beach. He finished in second place, in the Jaguar XF Trophy Handicap, at Meydan, on  16th February, 2012.
Spring Of Fame was victorious in his last race. The 6-year-old horse is the son of Grand Slam, out of Bloomy and his trainer, Saeed Bin Suroor is pleased with his performance.
He finished first by defeating Jamr, in the Dubal Casthouse Trophy Handicap, at Meydan, on 9th February, 2012.
Taking the runners’ performance into account, it can be predicted that Jamr will lead the race. He is gaining attention from the punters and bookies.
His trainer, M. bin Shafya, is hoping that his performance will continue to improve and he will live up to the expectations of his connections and the bookmakers.
Spring Of Fame is also in good shape and may prove to be a hindrance in
Jamr’s way.
The second place is expected to be acquired by Jardim because his performance has been consistent.
Large bets are being placed on Nanton despite his poor performance. He has gained the confidence of the punters and may be able to perform better than last time.
