Odds stacking in favour of Top Offer for the Aon Greenham Stakes at Newbury
Top Offer, trained by Roger Charlton for owner, Khalid Abdullah, is gaining popularity in the market for the Aon Greenham Stakes, which is scheduled to take place at Newbury on Saturday, 21st April, 2012.
The son of Dansili, out of mare Zante, delivered a terrific performance in his career maiden. Whelped on 29th March, 2009, it seems that this young runner has a bright future ahead of him.
He raced as a favourite with the odds of 6 to 4 in the Don Deadman Memorial European Breeders' Fund Maiden Stakes (Div II) at Newbury on 12th August, 2012.
Ridden by jockey, Steve Drowne, he claimed the victory as he finished 3 ½ lengths ahead of Pulverize.
Charlton is pleased with his recent work out sessions, as he stated to the press that: "Top Offer will improve for this run but I'm certainly not saying he'll need it."
Fencing, son of Street Cry, out of mare, Latice, may also compete in the prestigious event. Trained by John Gosden, for owner, George Strawbridge, the colt also has a terrific record.
Out of his three career starts, he finished in third twice and bagged a victory.
He raced as a favourite with the odds of 5 to 4 in the Denford Stud Stakes (Registered As The Washington Singer Stakes) at Newbury on 13th August, 2011, where he defeated, Telwaar, by 2 ½ lengths.
Newbury will also host the Dubai Duty Free Stakes (Registered As The Fred Darling Stakes) (Group 3) on the same evening as a trial for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas.
Lyric Of Light has been given the odds of 9 to 1 by William Hill, and is expected to deliver a terrific performance. Trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni for owners Godolphin, the three-year-filly has had a brilliant career.
She bagged victories in all of her starts. Mounted by jockey, Frankie Dettori, she excelled in the Shadwell Fillies' Mile (Group 1) at Newmarket on 23rd September, 2011.
The daughter of Street Cry, out of mare Suez, landed a narrow victory as she finished a head in front of, Samitar.
The races at Newbury will be some of the most exciting ones this year, which will be keeping the punters and bookmakers busy.
