Odds stacking in favour of Wishfull Thinking for the Grade 1 Boylesports.com Champion Chase at Punchestown
Wishfull Thinking seems to be back in the running for the Grade 1 Boylesports.com Champion Chase at Punchestown with an 8 to 1 shot. The race is scheduled to take place on 24th April, 2012.
With increasing attention from the market, hopes are pinned to him and he is expected to excel.
Trained by Philip Hobbs, the nine-year-old gelding has great things lined up for him in the future as the son of Alflora, out of mare Poussetiere Deux, finished as a runner-up in the Grade 1 John Smith's Melling Chase at Aintree on 13th April,
2012.
Teamed with Richard Johnson, he finished as a runner-up, 7 lengths behind the winner, Finian’s Rainbow.

Bred by Cobhall Court Stud, the chestnut gelding recovered from a fall in the Grade 1 Sportingbet.com Queen Mother Champion Chase in the Cheltenham Festival on 14th March, 2012, and came back strong.
Sizing Europe, who finished as a runner-up in the aforementioned race, will enter the mega event at Punchestown with a chance of 4-6, whereas Big Zeb who stood third in the same race will race with the odds of 7 to 2.
Sizing Europe, son of Pistolet Bleu, out of Jennie Dun, landed a massive victory for his owner, Ann and Alan Potts Partnership and trainer, Henry De Bromhead in the Grade 2 Boylesports.com Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown on 5thFebruary,
2012, where he defeated the C.A. Murphy trained, Big Zeb, by an immense margin of 15 lengths.
Follow The Plan, son of Accordion, out of mare Royal Rosy, landed a victory in this prestigious event at Punchestown last year, as he defeated, Vic Venturi, by a tremendous difference of 11 lengths.
The team of Follow The Plan and jockey, T.J. Doyle crushed the competition and downed the victory in an incredible manner.
This year all the runners will try to attempt the same goal that Oliver McKiernan trained bay gelding achieved. It will be an exciting event where all the horses will battle to hit the wire first.
